Statewide Structure & Leadership
Statewide Structure & Leadership
The Framework of Our Movement

The Virginia Crusade For Voters is led by a Statewide Board of Directors. This board is composed of select leaders representing each region of Virginia, who in turn represent the local Virginia Crusade For Voters Chapters.
The Statewide Board of Directors conducts in-depth research and analysis into each candidate’s background, voting records, and issues that are most relevant to Black voters and families.
This nonpartisan research covers elections for:
– U.S. President – U.S. Senate – U.S. Congress
-Virginia’s Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General
-Virginia Senate and Virginia House of Delegates
-Other statewide and regional elections as needed
Once compiled, this information is distributed to local Virginia Crusade For Voters Chapters across Virginia for their consideration in assisting local voters with Voter Education.
NOTE: As independent entities, Virginia Crusade For Voters Chapters will conduct their own research about current local politicians, candidates for various local offices, and other political positions.
Virginia is organized into five regions: Central and Eastern Virginia, Northern Virginia, Hampton Roads, Western Virginia and Valley, and Southern Virginia. Each region comprises a number of Chapters.

Chapter Formation Pathway
In the initial stages of formation, groups of 25 or more individuals may apply to the Virginia Crusade For Voters for recognition as an Affiliate Chapter. Once an Affiliate Chapter reaches 100 members, it may be fully recognized by the Statewide Board and granted a Virginia Crusade For Voters Charter of Organization. Upon receipt of the Charter, the Affiliate Chapter achieves full recognition as an official Virginia Crusade For Voters Chapter.
